The Del Rio Community Garden is open to anyone, at any time, and we welcome gardeners of all levels. The garden is located at 210 Jones Street in Del Rio, Texas. Our volunteers maintain half of the garden for educational and demonstration purposes and we also rent plots to members of the community. Plots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
We believe the best way to learn how to garden is to dig in, get your hands dirty, and learn from fellow gardeners. We help to facilitate this by holding workshops on a variety of topics throughout the year, as well as community workdays so you can work alongside your fellow garden enthusiasts.

Park Hours: The City of Del Rio parks are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. under an ordinance that established a park curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Exceptions for special events may be made. For information on special event considerations, call (830) 774-8763.
MISSION
Del Rio Community Garden's Mission is to provide the community with an opportunity to grow local produce, learn about simple and sustainable gardening, and empower one another through environmental and health education.
HOW IT WORKS:
The Del Rio Community Garden is run by the Del Rio Parks Foundation, a local 501c3 nonprofit. It is located on FEMA property that has been loaned to the Del Rio Parks Foundation by the City of Del Rio for the purposes of a community garden. The garden is open to anyone, and everyone during park hours, and we welcome visitors, plot renters, volunteer groups, school groups, and event hosts to see what we have to offer.
The garden is managed by a group of core volunteers and a monthly garden manager. Our core volunteer group communicates via a closed Facebook group. If you’re looking to get involved with the garden on a consistent basis and would like to volunteer your time and enthusiasm, you can request to join the group by clicking the button below.
