MISSION

To provide the community with access to nature and neighborhoods through a network of protected bike lanes, paved hike and bike trails, and natural surface trails for fitness, recreation, commuting, and transportation.

  • Access to outdoor recreation

  • Pedestrian and bicycle mobility

    • Increase Walk Scores, Bike Scores, Transit Scores (www.walkscore.com)

    • Develop safe routes to schools

  • Connectivity between neighborhoods, parks, and Laughlin AFB

  • Open space and habitat conservation

  • Cultural & historical awareness

    • Cultural routes to promote our heritage (example: Historical marker tour)

    • Art & mural routes to promote local artwork and art community

JOIN BIKE DEL RIO

Join your local community for an evening bike ride around Del Rio. All bicycles welcome! Road, mountain, cruiser, or E-bike can accommodate the route.

WHEN AND WHERE: Mesquite Creek, Tuesdays before sunset
BIKE ROUTE: Approximately 4-6 miles around Downtown Del Rio and San Felipe Creek, beginner friendly.
