DEL RIO PARKS FOUNDATION MISSION:

Del Rio Parks Foundation is committed to enriching the quality of life for the community through the development of outdoor park and recreational spaces in the City of Del Rio. We serve to nurture open space improvement opportunities by encouraging and mobilizing the financial support of neighborhood groups, foundations and citizens.

COMMUNITY GARDEN MISSION:

Del Rio Community Garden's Mission is to provide the community with an opportunity to grow local produce, to learn about simple and sustainable gardening and to empower one another through environmental and health education.

VOLUNTEERING WITH US:

The Del Rio Community Garden is supported solely through volunteer efforts and we are only able to grow as our volunteer base expands. We are extremely thankful to the many volunteers who have maintained and expanded the garden since its beginning in 2015.  The scholarship program is our way of giving back to the community by supporting our volunteers with their future academic goals. The scholarship program was established in 2023 to support the volunteers who support us, as well to encourage healthy activities for mind and body and foster environmental awareness through education.
